Specializing in family eye care, we can provide spectacles and soft contact lenses for all ages and purposes. In the event of eye care emergencies, we do our very best to step up and address patients’ needs.

Optometrist Near You – Dr. Van Dran

For services that are beyond our scope of practice such as retina operation or Lasik, we refer our patients to one of our trusted specialists in Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque or El Paso. Referrals will be made in a timely manner. We will also make sure your insurance will be accepted and you have a report and referral in hand.

Dr. Van Dran takes great pride in providing patient-centered eye care services. We listen, and we want to know our patients. Call and come visit us for your eye care needs.

Meet Teddy Bear

Meet Teddy Bear, our office therapy dog in training. With his silky soft coat and quiet nature, he’s become a real hit with young and old in the mornings with Dr. Van Dran.

Fostered from the High Desert Humane Society with his mother and four siblings from 3-10 weeks, he’s now in training to work in hospitals and senior care facilities with the doctor providing a little love and affection to those in need.

End of day and after work appointments available at 5:00 and 5:30 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

COVID-19 Update:

We are beyond ready to get back to work and see everyone that we’ve missed so much! We are phasing in routine eye care now.

We have begun scheduling routine eye examinations for glasses and contact lenses and general eye health evaluations.

Our doors will be locked to control the number of patients in the building. For pickups and deliveries please honk twice at the backdoor and someone will be right with you. Patient’s arriving for medical visits, please park and call the office at 575-388-2020.

The safety of our patients, staff, and community is our #1 priority. Please bring a mask or face covering and your own pen for paperwork. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.
