As an Independent Optometrist in Silver City, Dr. Rhonda K. Van Dran strives to bring the best optical service to the community a small office can provide. Dr. Van Dran earned her Bachelor of Science from Western New Mexico University (1988) and her O.D. from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon (1992). She is licensed to practice in New Mexico and Colorado.
Dr. Van Dran is an active member of the Silver City community, participating with her church's music team during Sunday church services, supporting the High Desert Humane Society and local 4H Highschool efforts. She is a member of the High Desert Sportsman's Club and enjoys hiking, gardening, and outdoor activities. In the past, she was active in the youth football league filling positions from Team Mom to Assistant Coach and graduating to participating as Doc H20 (water boy) and traveling with the undefeated 1st La Plata Jr. High Football Team. Her many years in practice and diverse interests paired with modern technology, enable her to provide personalized vision care and specialty spectacle and contact lens designs for many vocations and activities.
